Performance

The new MINI Convertible offers three trims, each with a distinct engine configuration:

  • Cooper - a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine creating 134 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque
  • Cooper S - upgraded powertrain with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 189 horsepower and 206 pound-feet of torque
  • John Cooper Works (JCW) - the most powerful trim that features an enhanced 2.0-liter engine generating an impressive 228 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque

The Cooper and Cooper S trims come standard with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, while the JCW trim has an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Cooper

The base Cooper trim has a range of standard features, including 15-inch alloy wheels, all-season tires, LED headlights, automatic wipers, and heated mirrors. The interior has ambient lighting, height-adjustable front seats, simulated leather upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. There's an 8.8-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker audio system, and satellite radio.

Cooper S

Building upon the Cooper trim, the Cooper S adds 16-inch wheels and offers a choice of all-season or summer performance tires. The interior receives upgraded sports seats, providing increased comfort and support during spirited drives.

John Cooper Works (JCW)

As the performance-oriented trim, the JCW takes the Cooper S features and adds 17-inch wheels and performance sports seats. Upgraded upholstery includes a simulated suede/cloth combination for a sportier feel.

Sub-Trim Features

In addition to the main trim levels, the 2024 MINI Convertible offers two sub-trims with additional amenities:

  • Signature: Available for all three trims, it has larger wheels, adaptive suspension dampers or non-adjustable sport suspension (JCW only), a wind deflector, keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, and heated front seats.
  • Iconic: Building upon the Signature sub-trim, the Iconic adds leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, power-folding mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, navigation, a wireless charging pad, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system (limited availability due to microchip shortage), and a head-up display.
